On the same day the Sydney buyout firm inked a $NZ400 million-plus deal to sell NZ Bus to OPTrust’s Kinetic, investment director Bing Jiang was elevated to partner status, rounding out Next Capital’s partner roster to five.
Jiang joined the firm 11 years ago as an associate from Morgan Stanley’s M&A team in Hong Kong.
Since then, she’s helped oversee the firm’s investments in baggage handler Aerocare, health supplements business Vitaco, and mini golfing company Funlab, among others.
Aerocare was sold to Archer Capital; Vitaco was listed via a $250 million float and later taken private by Shanghai Pharmaceutical Holdings and Primavera Capital; and Funlab was acquired by TPG Capital in a $250 million deal.
